Alliance VivaFilm asked Merchlar to create a unique augmented reality experience for the release of the first Hunger Games film. When the app is pointed at the official Hunger Games movie poster, the poster comes to life, revealing a Hunger Games-themed environment containing the movie’s trailer. Harnessing Merchlar’s unparalleled creativity, the poster created a ton of hype among avid Hunger Games fans wanting an exclusive preview of the film.
A Montreal Premiere
The app was deployed at the movie premiere in Montreal. Visitors were invited to use the iPads on site in order to live a unique AR experience. The user is thus immersed in the movie’s universe, with a thematic environment and interactive elements.
