French-based rappers The Shin Sekai's new album, Merchlar produced an AR application capable of interacting with the artist’s album cover. Bundled into an iOS & Android app and distributed via the App Store, it launched a promotional video displayed in place of the album cover when the device is pointed in its direction. By offering a taste of the album before purchase, Merchlar helped generate hype for his new tracks.
Social Media Sharing
Users are also able to share the content of the app with the social media button. They can easily spread the word on Facebook or Twitter, share their experience and encourage friends to try the AR app.
